About Soneva

Soneva was founded in 1995 by Sonu and Eva Shivdasani, who opened Soneva Fushi in the Maldives with a vision of luxury that is intelligent, relaxed and deeply connected to nature. The name blends their two first names, and their philosophy still shapes every resort. Today the collection includes Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani in the Maldives, the newer and highly secluded Soneva Secret, also in the Maldives, and Soneva Kiri on the unspoiled island of Koh Kood in Thailand, along with Soneva in Aqua, a private yacht for exploring the Maldivian atolls.

What defines Soneva is barefoot luxury. Shoes are optional, the pace is unhurried, and the emphasis is on time, space and genuine experiences rather than formality.
